Not all grip socks are the same. That may sound obvious, but during the development of GXOX, we discovered just how much difference there really is in materials, grip, and overall quality.

From the outside, many grip socks look similar. But once you compare them side by side, feel the materials, and most importantly wear them during sports, the differences quickly become noticeable.

During the development of GXOX, a group of athletes compared and tested dozens of different grip socks. Not just three or four variations, but more than 50 different samples, materials, and grip patterns. Some socks felt comfortable at first but became stiff after a few washes. Others offered plenty of grip but felt too tight or became too warm during sports. Through this process, we discovered just how significant the quality differences are within the grip sock market.

While many low-cost alternatives focus primarily on price, we wanted to create the perfect balance between:

• grip
• comfort
• durability
• breathability
• compression
• fit

That may sound simple, but finding the right combination proved to be a challenge. Anyone who has tried different types gripsokken of grip socks knows that no single feature defines quality. It's the balance between all of them that makes the difference.

One of the biggest differences between grip socks lies in the materials used. Many low-cost alternatives rely heavily on synthetic fabrics with limited breathability, structure, or compression. While this makes them cheaper to produce, it often results in lower comfort and reduced durability.
For GXOX, we deliberately selected a specific material blend:

• 60% Polyamide
• 37% Cotton
• 3% Elastane

This blend was not chosen by chance. It was carefully developed to create the right balance between the key performance features that matter during sports.

Het polyamide zorgt voor stevigheid, slijtvastheid en vormbehoud. Het katoen helpt bij comfort en vochtopname, terwijl het elastaan zorgt voor lichte compressie en een aansluitende pasvorm. Daardoor voelen de sokken niet alleen kwalitatief en comfortabel aan, maar blijven ze ook beter op hun plek tijdens intensieve bewegingen. Dat verschil merk je vaak pas echt tijdens het sporten zelf, het voelt stabieler en directer aan.

During testing, we discovered something remarkable. It's not just the material that makes a difference—the grip pattern itself plays an important role as well. Many grip socks use relatively small grip zones or thin silicone-based patterns. GXOX intentionally uses slightly larger grip dots on the sole, made from PVC. That may seem like a small detail, but PVC maintains its grip performance longer, even after repeated washing. In addition, the larger grip dots create more contact with the inside of the shoe, resulting in enhanced grip and stability compared to many alternatives.

Especially during quick changes of direction, explosive movements, or sudden stops, you notice that your shoes feel more responsive and that your feet stay firmly in place. It's these small details that can make a real difference in your performance.

Another thing we noticed during development is that many brands follow a “one size fits most” approach. Some webshops even offer multiple sizes, while the actual sock remains virtually identical.

That may sound practical, but when it comes to grip socks, fit is extremely important. A grip sock should fit snugly and securely around the foot. Once there is too much room inside the sock, you lose part of the benefit that grip socks are designed to provide.

That is why GXOX uses three different size ranges:

• 35–38
• 39–42
• 43–46

As a result, the sock fits more closely around the foot, providing greater control during movement.

What many people find surprising is that GXOX is more affordable than many other premium grip sock brands. That does not mean we have compromised on quality. Quite the opposite. During development, we deliberately chose to invest in better materials, fit, and grip technology.

Our goal was simple:
to develop a premium grip sock that competes with the very best in terms of quality, while remaining more accessible in price.
Because in the end, it’s not just about how a grip sock looks. It’s about what you feel the moment you start moving.

From the outside, many grip socks may look similar. But once you wear them during training, a match, or a workout, that’s when you truly start to notice the real differences.
